    Golf runs in the family. Loïc started out playing occasionally at ROGC in De Haan, where his grandparents were serious players in their own right, regulars on the local club championship board. He went on to play for the Koksijde youth team, and was selected for Flanders' top sport school program in Hasselt for his final three years of high school.

    A win on the Toro Tour early in 2026 put him on the World Amateur Golf Ranking for the first time. He then won the Junior Open Hainaut, and in August took the Belgian National Championship at U16/18 with rounds of 73, 70, 71 and 69 at The National in Brussels. His scoring average for the season sits at 72.19.

    Days after that title he flew to Kansas to start his college golf career with the Hesston Larks.
